Care & FAQ
Keep your counters looking new
Care instructions for every stone we install, and straight answers to the questions we hear most.
Care instructions
The short version
- Clean with warm, soapy water or a cleaner made for natural stone.
- Never use anything acidic or abrasive. Vinegar, lemon, and scouring pads break down the sealer and can etch softer stones.
- Keep bleach products off the stone. Anything with chlorine bleach is a hard no.
- Wipe spills promptly, especially wine, oil, and citrus on marble or dolomite.
- Use cutting boards and trivets. Even hard stones deserve them; the sealer does too.

| Granite | Sealed at install, periodic resealing | Oil near the cooktop |
| Marble | Sealed at install, regular resealing | Acids etch; scratches |
| Dolomite | Sealed at install, regular resealing | Acids etch, slower than marble |
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What types of countertops do you offer?
Quartzite, quartz, granite, marble, and dolomite, plus solid-surface options. See the materials comparison for how they differ.
How does the installation process work?
We measure your space, create a template, cut the countertop to size, install it, and seal natural stone to protect your investment.
How long does installation take?
Usually one to two days, depending on the size of the project.
How do I clean my countertops?
Only use warm soapy water or a stone-safe cleaner. Never anything acidic or abrasive, and nothing with bleach.
Which countertops need sealing?
Natural stones: quartzite, granite, marble, and dolomite. Engineered quartz never needs sealing.
How do I know when to reseal?
If water soaks into the stone and darkens it instead of beading up, it is time. We offer professional sealing.
Where do you work?
All of Dallas–Fort Worth. Recent installations include Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Addison, Preston Hollow, and Lakewood.
